I would have to be an absolute moron to contribute to IV, and to work for it, if at the end it costs me more in getting a green card.
So, either you think that IV-ers from ROW are morons. Or you want them to quit, and turn this organization into an Indians-only group.
Its as simple as that. You can quote all the laws in the universe, and come up with all the fancy logic that you want. But what I have said above is what it all boils down to.
I do not care whether you contribute to IV or not. What I am writing here is law or facts and how it is affecting oversubscribed countries becuse of wrong interpretation of law. Even any law passes to remove retro, this misinterpretation of law is screwing Indians and Chinese. A EB2 person from Iran/Iraq/Pakistan with PD 2007 can get GC with in 6 months (right from PERM labor to 485 approval) why should Indian with PD in 2003 has to wait for ever?

They do not care, if I am male or female or Indian or Chinese or Iranian or Iraqi or Pakistani or European. I am penalized for just I am Indian not able to adjust LPR even I have priority date in 2003 after a long wait for Labor certification and 140 approvals. However, if I am from other than India and China I would have got GC with in six months even if my PD in late 2006. If a person with a Priority Date 2007 can become LPR immediately in EB2 category even if he is from a state sponsoring terrorism (provided if his background check is cleared). However a person from India having priority date in 2003 can not become LPR and sitting in dark to hope to see the light at the end of tunnel. How fare it is? Is it not the discrimination by country of birth?

All I did was posting it in August EB2 India/China approvals thread about what I read and heard from an IO. Just to inform people. This visas are not available only for India/China and not for other countries????
If people think it is not appropriate, the admins can delete all the related posts and threads.

Now as it is known that Masters Quota for H-1B is still open and there is no need for lottery.

Eb1->Eb2->Eb3 is correct only from education and experience for the Job point of view but not true from Quota point of view all get 33.33per year.

I am going to take the liberty of putting together an agenda for the conference call, just to make it more productive. I can play scribe for the call.

It would be fair if spillover numbers are equally divided between EB2 and EB3 retrogressed country so both category can get equal relief.

Isn't Elfreda out of status since May '07 when the L1 ended, as I guess the company she was working for would have reported it? H1 doesn't start until oct '07 and H4 is pending, so what is the status now??

If you get an attached I-94 along with your approved H1 petition then I am guessing that you are going to be in H1 status otherwise it would be L1, since you have that stamped in your visa (however, you are out of status). This is a gray area and you should really consult a lawyer.

Is 485 the sole purpose of our life now ? Personally I don't give a damn about the GC if I have to see my family suffer and I don't think any crime can be worse than seeing an adult abusing an infant who can't protect himself and not doing something about it.

Come on man - this is called knee jerk reaction - I can understand the anger because no one will tolerate beating children.
If something has to be done from now on in this IV community - write blogs about hiring nannies, and also warn people about what is happening on sulekha and ads on grocery stores etc... Ask people to be wary of all this. Such awareness will reduce these kind of incidents.

Another member from CA has joined this challange. The member has contacted me and I have just now spoken to the member. The member wants to stay as an annonymous donor. So far he has contributed $1500 over the past few months.This member has pledged to pitch in with some more money when the total contributions from other members reach the 30,000 & 60,000 dollar mark. November 6, 1986, may face fines of up to $3,000 per employee and/or six months imprisonment.
So the worst that could happen is that our friend ends up paying $3,000. When USCIS is protecting illegal aliens through "U Visas", wouldn't they be considerate on a case involving the baby of a legal alien?
Going by the above, it makes sense for "thunderbolt" to take help from a qualified attorney and report this case to cops. Posting the video in youtube or bashing the Nanny is Sulekha/citysearch is all fine. But when you child grows up and asks what you did when he was abused as by the nanny, you don't wanna answer "Dear child! I took the video footage of the abuse, showed it to my friends and posted it on you tube and then I bashed her with my comments on sulekha/citysearch."
Hence if there's any justice to be done for the poor soul who couldn't even express himself, then take the evil nanny to cops. Or else you're just letting everyone to walk all over you like a doormat.

So typical of you guys. Once you lose an argument you start abusing and if the opponent is a female its more the merrier for you guys. Do you even know the basis rule of being polite with everyone in USA. So if the guy is an american you will kiss his feet.
