The Accompanied Literary Society’s Brooke Geahan hosted a private soiree at the Montauk Yacht Club for Jay McInerney on the occasion of the North American publishing of his short story collection, “How It Ended.” The author attended the event on the arm of his wife, socialite Anne Hearst.

His stepdaughter, Amanda Hearst, is currently gearing up for “Blue,” the annual summer gala presented by the junior council of Riverkeeper, which she founded with her best friend Luigi Tadini. Tickets for the June 11 environmental fundraiser are still available for purchase. Members of the extended Kennedy political family, including Bobby Kennedy III, Kick Kennedy, and Katherine Kennedy Townsend, all long-time friends of the Hearsts, are expected to attend.
