After and insane amount of time, in which this blog laid in comatose, (I shudder to think back on the last date's entry) in part because of work, in part as a personal change in direction, I feel it's time for it to reawaken to life.
As I deeply hate writing strung-out introductions, I'll leave it to this and welcome anyone who's interested back.

Now for my project. There are three choices for this blog hop: Summer Picnic Fun, Beach Blanket Party, or Fishing the Day Away! I went for the Summer Picnic Fun, and wanted to highlight a fun summer picnic day at the park.

I went with a stair step card and used LOTS of Magnolia images... #259 Kneeling Tilda, #3019 Tilda playing hopscotch, #3029 Tilda in star dress, #402 Rufus the dog, #421 sun, #428 Tree with carved heart, and I can't find the blanket or the park bench in stock right now, but they are Magnolia images. If you're interested, please just ask Diana about them. All the images are colored with Copic markers and fussy cut to attach to the card. The sun is attached with a strip of acetate so it would appear to be free standing above all the images.

I added absolutely nothing else as I thought the card was plenty busy enough without adding more to the mix. Now if you'd like the chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to Magnolia-licious, just leave a comment on this post before midnight Friday. I'll pull the winner as soon as I can after that.

Claudia Carrasco (C) from Peru won the Miss Exclusive of the World International Beauty Contest in Cesme, Turkey, on July 16, 2011. Contestants representing 40 countries and regions competed in the Miss Exclusive of the World International Beauty Contest in Cesme on Saturday night.
Claudia from Peru, Enrika Trepkute from Lithuania and Acelya Kartal from Turkey won the top three of the contest.

Karabo Sampson was crowned Miss Botswana 2011
Road to Miss World 2011
20-year-old Karabo Sampson has scooped the prestigious Miss Botswana crown. A third year student at the University of Botswana, Sampson beat 9 other contestants at the Miss Botswana 2011 Pageant at Gaborone International Convention Centre on Saturday.
Sampson will represent Botswana at the Miss World 2011 pageant which to be held in London, in November.

Danielle Doty, Miss Texas Teen USA 2011, was crowned Miss Teen USA 2011 on Saturday July, 16, 2011 at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. She was crowned by reigning Miss Teen USA Kamie Crawford of Maryland. Doty is the second Texan to be named Miss Teen USA. Christie Lee Woods, who was later an “Amazing Race” contestant, won the title in 1996.
The first runner-up was Audra Mari of North Dakota. The other finalists were Alexis Swanstrom (California, second runner-up), Taylor Clark (Kansas, third runner-up) and Sydnee Stottlemyre (Missouri, fourth runner-up). Miss Teen USA 2005 Allie LeForce and Chet Buchanan, a Las Vegas radio and TV host, served as hosts for the pageant, which streamed live online.
